About Mike Leonardi
Mike brings more than 10 years of expertise in building managed services and IT infrastructure businesses. Early in his career, he helped transform a UCaaS startup in Santa Clara, CA; and later, he joined a Charlotte, NC data center that implements colocation, backup and disaster recovery, and infrastructure as a service. Mike’s unique background and end-to-end experience make him a valued consultant to some of the largest companies in the world, across their entire IT infrastructure stack.
Co-founder of M2 Enterprise Group, Mike led both sales and financial operations to double-digit growth, becoming one of the fastest-growing agencies in Southern California servicing mid-market and enterprise clients. Prior to co-founding M2 in 2018, Mike was an agent for Bridgepointe for three years, regional partner manager for colocation provider Peak 10 + ViaWest, and a regional channel manager for unified communications provider PanTerra. Mike has been recognized as a top agent many times—a testament to his expertise in not only providing solutions but also quality customer service.
Mike, along with his M2 co-founder Mike Casagrande, partnered with UPSTACK primarily as a strategy to manage the company’s growth. Within three years of its founding, M2 had more than 350 customers and was growing at 100-125 percent year over year.
One of Mike’s most successful deployments with UPSTACK was helping one of the largest healthcare providers in the nation create a requirements list by interviewing the stakeholders across the organization including supervisors, agents, workforce managers, quality managers, and IT; then took those requirements and compared multiple suppliers in the space to ensure that the right vendor was brought to the engagement which saved the client interviewing time. This healthcare provider’s sole focus was to improve their patients’ experience while leveraging every tool in the market such as ACD, WFM, QM, VA, Knowledge Base, Chatbot, and even back-office, computer-integrated telephony into the contact center. Upon successful vendor vetting, UPSTACK went a step further and assisted in negotiating the contracts and pricing with the client to ensure favorable terms making it a win-win for the client and the vendor to kick off a successful partnership.
Mike has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from Concordia University Irvine. While in college, Mike had his first full-time position in telecom as an authorized reseller for RingCentral, where he provided simplified cloud communication solutions to businesses of all sizes.
When Mike isn’t working, he enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife.

Q&A with Mike
Q. What collaboration tools do you think are necessary for businesses today?
A. Organizations are looking to compete on CX (customer experience) today more than ever. The contact center technology landscape is proving to have the right solutions above and beyond standard ACD call routing and skills-based routing. Contact center leaders are leveraging features such as virtual agents and chatbots to not only accomplish call deflection but give their customers the ability to self-serve while delivering a great CX.
