The challenge
Sun Capital Partners, a growing investment company, ran its business over an expensive and outdated MPLS network, delivering just 100Mbps per location, which was insufficient for its expanding global operations. Frequent service issues caused IT leaders to spend many late nights troubleshooting and worrying about network reliability and business continuity. With an expanding portfolio of international companies, the firm needed a scalable, redundant solution to modernize its network infrastructure without increasing costs.
The approach
UPSTACK conducted a deep dive into Sun Capital’s requirements and recommended a comprehensive migration to a global software–defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution that would provide increased bandwidth, redundant and diverse connections, and significant cost savings. Most importantly, the solution was designed to ensure peace of mind by delivering a network Sun Capital could rely on without reservation.
The solution
UPSTACK worked with the selected supplier to deploy SD-WAN using 1Gbps circuits as primary connections and 1Gbps circuits as backups. The solution eliminated bottlenecks and instability that had plagued Sun Capital’s previous network infrastructure and ensured scalability, redundancy and seamless performance for Sun Capital’s operations.
