About Marc Agar

Marc Agar has spent 30 years sourcing and delivering innovative telecommunications and IT solutions to businesses. Marc serves as a trusted partner to business executives, helping them utilize the vast array of solutions, services and offerings to deliver cost savings and increased profitability while providing cohesive management of their technology stacks. As an UPSTACK Partner, Marc leverages the company’s operational resources, technical expertise and vendor relationships to fulfill customers’ technology needs and accelerate their growth.

Marc began his tech career in 1994 at McLeodUSA, where he worked as General Manager and Vice President, responsible for its telecom hardware division with 125 employees and four office locations. When McLeodUSA sold the division in 2002, Marc left to form his own company, CA Communications, to sell telecom hardware and telecom services through agency agreements with telephone companies.

Two decades later, CA Communications has advised hundreds of businesses on leveraging technology, services and offerings to deliver cost savings and increased profitability. CA’s telecom agency line of business, which was sold to UPSTACK in 2024, focuses on strategy and sourcing solutions, such as networking, data center, internet access, unified communications as a service (UCaaS), contact center as a service (CCaaS) and cybersecurity. Marc remains chief executive of CA’s hardware resale business.

Prior to his work experience, Marc attended Texas Lutheran University and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
