About Mike Eaton
For more than 25 years, Mike Eaton has consulted with a variety of business customers and service providers to develop reliable and efficient custom networking solutions. As a partner with UPSTACK, he leverages his cloud communications expertise to tailor tech solutions to meet each customer’s unique requirements.
Mike comes to UPSTACK from Stellar Connect, a full-service provider of IT services based in Thousand Oaks, California. Mike founded the business with fellow UPSTACK partner Nanette Kische in 2014 to provide seamless communication and collaboration solutions for their customers. Stellar Connect provides vendor-agnostic IT and telecom procurement, management, and support to small and mid-market businesses. The company’s areas of expertise include voice, data, cloud infrastructure, UCaaS, network, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
One of their most successful projects was helping a biotech company transform its IT infrastructure from start-up mode to enterprise level. The existing IT architecture had served the company well as it grew from 20 to 200 employees, however, it was beginning to show its limitations as it approached 500 people, plus venture partners and customers. They deployed a zero-trust wide area network with a cloud firewall to protect their sites in North America, Europe, and South America. They also led the IT planning of the company’s HQ facility remodel in California. The company’s IT department was small and overworked so Mike and Nanette evaluated and provided recommendations for service desk-as-a-service options to help offload the company’s workload.
Mike has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In his free time, Mike and his wife volunteer with Harbor House, a non-profit that helps people in the community find hope, gainful employment, affordable housing, and a sense of personal well-being.
